Takoma

This silver ring has hammered texture.

In Finnish language, "taonta" can mean both, forged or hammered, and that is what the name "Takoma" means, more precisely "has been forged/hammered".

In northern mythologies, many artifacts have been forged - in Kalevala, Finnish epic poetic, Sampo was forged, while in Edda weapons such as Mjölnir, Thor's hammer and Gungnir, which was again Odin's spear, was forged by dwarves. Kalevala had a skilled blacksmith Ilmarinen, who forgd the Sampo. According to the Vikings, the dwarves, on the other hand, were skilled blacksmiths.
